At Kaløvig Center a dream has come true. We have been building a pretty little house – 8 meters above the earth in our most splendid beech. The house is already being used as a unique meetingroom for small groups that want to clear their minds while listening to birds singing and enjoying the view.
Be our guest in the treetop
Imagine that you are climbing a 8 meter high spiral staircase winding the trunk of a giant beech. At the end of the staircase you find a terrace where you can enjoy the view of the sea, the sky and the treetop of the beech.
From the terrace you enter the house where you find a small meetingtable with chairs, shelves with good books to read and a nice, small couch. The couch can be transformed into a bed!
A house with french ancestors
The house is designed and built by the talented folks from La Cabane Perchée in Procence. La Cabane Perchée have built more than 300 treetophouses all over the world. They make everything, from small and quirky houses for children too fully equiped hotelsuites with all modern facilities. No matter size and budget the houses are characterized by the good craftsmanship and the carefull handling of the tree. The houses are built to last.
More quirky than fancy
Our house is 10 m2 and the terrace is about the same size. 4-5 people can sit around the table and the house has bedspace for two people. If you want to sleep in the house you should be a little adventurous, since you will find the toilet and bath 100 meters away.
You can see pictures of the treehouse in the gallery below.
